I created the 2026 Winter Conference Call For Papers poster and Proceedings booklet for the Korea Quality of Life Information Society.

Call For Papers

For the CFP, I decided to use an AI tool to try to create an image that blended the AI world and the physical, natural world. This was to reflect the conference theme:

“AI와 사람, 함께 만드는 지속가능한 미래”

“Humans and AI, Continually Building the Future Together”

I tried various models inside Adobe Flux as well as ChatGPT and others. After many tries, the best result came from Flux. You can see four of the best images I considered below.

The image generated by Flux turned out to be the most unique (all the others from every other service looked very similar). Then, I used Grok’s Imagine to add the robot. Finally, modified the original image in Photoshop – using AI tools to help expand the background, and fixing other things by hand.

Image production process:

1. Generate dozens of images in AI generators
2. Select the best one
3. Modify in Grok Imagine (add robot)
4. Fix in Photoshop (expand background, smart-fill some parts with AI generator)
5. Touch-up in Photoshop by hand

Proceedings

For the Proceedings, I was specifically asked to lighten the background compared with the CFP – so I removed it entirely, using the Pen tool in Photoshop for most of this work. The back cover was purposefully kept simpler.
